Training and Capacity Building
Capacity building is one of the special areas of Maharashtra NGO Samiti. It facilitates capacity building of social workers, various stakeholders, NGO representatives and government functionaries. We know that the success of any organization lies in its sustainability and efforts made to improve the capacity of its workers, farmers, NGO representatives and government officials as well as stakeholders. Hence, we provide free capacity building training at the state and national levels to community based organizations, NGOs, government officials as well as students from various educational institutions. For this, we utilize our rich resource persons which include experienced NGO experts, educationists, co-trainers etc.
The uniqueness of Maharashtra NGO Samiti lies in designing and organizing capacity building programs, follow-up after training; identifying and analyzing capacity building needs through project visits, consultations; preparing draft training modules in consultation with participants and finalizing the modules; The participants are provided with a mix of theoretical and practical sessions by visiting successful project sites etc.
The entire training is conducted in English, Hindi and regional languages as per the convenience of the participants. Audio-visual aids, pictorial presentations, group discussions, experience sharing, case studies, role plays, demonstration of methods, site visits etc. are used to help the participants understand the training sessions better and that too in a pleasant interactive manner. We also develop post-training follow-up plans to translate learning into action.
